Over the weekend, the first ever Tivoli Cold Water Shootout took place. A head-to-head format, invite only (yes it required a certain buoy count to get in) and a chilly 47 degrees with wind gusts and rain, didn’t stop these boys from hitting the water in their wetsuits, dry suits and some hardcore skiers rocking only warm top (brrrr) for some fun competition.
The day started with 15 skiers, 1 round of prelims, top seed gets a bye into the first round of head-to-head match ups. Head-to-Head rounds were handicapped with the leading seed from prelims getting choice of boat or going first, so the strategies and trash talking began! The skier in the head-to-head that went 2nd needed to beat, not tie, the skier that went 1st! After lots of rounds of cold skiing, congrats to the winners!
